My favorites
I ve been a long time fan of wine. I particularly enjoy Champagne and Chardonnay. Champagne is primarily made of the chardonnay or pinot noir grape. I guess that is why I enjoy champagne. Below I have listed eight of my favorites. Most of my list is also among the most popular wines. Including one from my home state of Washington. (Coincidence)
Champagne ranks tops with me. I would drink it exclusively if I had the time. (Keeping it on ice and all that.) I m strictly a dry, extra dry, or brut person. Sweet wines don t appeal to me. To much like what I call Kool Aid wines. One champagne that I also enjoy quite often (not on my list) is Andre Brut. It is well done and a fermented champagne. It often get the short end of the stick because of its low price.
What is wine without food! My favorite dishes to accompany a chardonnay is pasta with a basil pesto, or any ocean fish. With champagne, well there s only one accompaniment, caviar! My preference is on a cracker with a slice of boiled egg and sour cream.
